Shelf renting info

I have finally found and got the shop that would be just perfect for us!


The shop is along Sir Isaacs Walk in Colchester, with good pedestrian foot fall, directly opposite Karen Millen and close to Culver Square Shopping Centre which includes shops occupied by retailers such as Debenhams and TK Max . Isnt it just the prettiest little place?




Now the plan is to make my candles on site, giving a reason to step in even if its just to watch, rent shelf space to other high end designer makers, and have the occasional guest workshop. 

For those of you that are interested in renting some space, the details are as follows -

The prices will also include storage space, you can send extra stock so as you sell I can stock up your  space. And you will have the option of sending more if you completely sell out half way through the month.

You can choose whether I send you your profits weekly or monthly

I will send a daily email to all those that have sold.

Business cards can also be displayed appropriately on your shelves. 

Stock will of course remain yours until sold.

Now for the prices - 

Cabinets/shelving will be provided by me, you just need to send the items

The spaces will be 1x1 foot at £7 per week
5 foot along the top of a cabinet £7 per week
and 2x1 foot shelves visible from the window at £10 per week.

The minimum rental time is 4 weeks, payable in advance, all I ask is that you give me 2 weeks notice if you would prefer not to rent the space the next month.

    I am extremely interested in renting shelf space!
    Just need to get more stock to make stuff with lol. Not sure which option would be best for me though as money is so tight it's just utterly silly :|

    I am definitely interested for our gemstone jewellery rather than our wedding stuff. Are there any requirements insurance wise? Would I need insurance against theft, loss etc?

    I would be extremely interested. Can you explain more the dimensions and costs as you say 1x1 foot at £7 per week but also 5 foot along the top of a cabinet £7 per week and is it two shelves for £10 or there are two shelves and each one is £10?

    Can you specify the way items are displayed? Would you send/post pics of the layout etc? Also the insurance re theft is a good question and would like to know?

    I am sure you will get lots of interest and even more questions.

    Jewellery will be kept in a locked cabinet. I am looking into the insurance side of it, but as it is your property until sold I am expecting it needs to be insured on your own policy.

    The shelving - ok I could have put that a little better. I have a .... nope this is easier. I have one of these http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/00208646/ £7 per cube and £7 for the bit along the top as its quite high up.

    There will be about 3, 2 foot x 1 foot shelves in the window, these will be £10

    Pictures of the rough layout will arrive once I have the keys, but the finished layout will only be done on opening day

    However, is the shop definately in a place where customers will regularly pass? From what you have described it seems great.

    Hi, your website looks lovely, I have a few soapy people on board and I dont want too many of the same type of products. I can most certainly get in touch when there is room though?

    And yes there is alot of foot traffic going past, its in a lovely area of the high st where there is quite a few other independent shops

    Hi,
    I would be interested in renting a shelf space. Would you just be charging rent or would there be a commission on sales too?
    Also, I had a look at your link to the shelf unit and wondered how you would choose who had which cube? If they are all the same price would you rotate the spaces so people had a chance to be at different heights?

    Interested to know if you will be organising a launch, any publicity etc for the opening? I'd like to try four weeks, is that possible? Good luck with it; the building IS pretty!

    Can you please tell me if you are still renting shelves, and if yes, do you have any available, prices, size of the shelves and ask you for pictures of the shop. I would like to sell some of our interior textile products such as merino wool and wool blankets, wool rugs, handmade rugs and bed covers as well as table clothes.     This printer doesn't have a current pick change. It is sold as a 110 volt version or a 220 volt model. To transform the printer from one model to the various other, you would certainly have to change both the electric supply and the fuser. At the very least it merely didn't
    power up. If you had relocated the printer in the contrary instructions, it would
    probably have actually gone bang and/or tripped out the entire office.
